Aaron McCollough Will Think I'm Lame
Folks. I just discovered--thanks to the new Pavement bio-book "Perfect Sound Forever"--a new old band. I always wish I could hear things (old things) again for the first time. Now I have the chance, because my musical education did not include SWELL MAPS. My mind is being BLOWN as I type, thanks to the two compilations (?) I just picked up from the Apple Music Store (I know I'm lame), "International Rescue" and "Sweep the Desert." Someday I'll return to the novel-revision I'm supposed to be doing. But what if I'd rather listen to sloppy punkish music and surf all day?

You should check out the solo records of Epic Soundtracks (one of the Swell Maps). You'd like that too, you lame fuck. Also, look into Tall Dwarfs and Television Personalities. Rough hewn but delightful listening when you want a break from your steady diet of Kool Keith.
